Developing Bonds with Dogs through Training
February 27th 2008
Developing a bond with someone close to you and some one part of your daily life is quite essential. The same goes for your pets too. You need to be aware of what your dog likes and what is going on in his mind, right when he lies there at dog beds. At the same time he should not feel out of your family.
So how do you go about making your dog feel a part of your family? Well, there are quite a few essential steps to follow. You should spend as much time as possible with your dogs. This implies, that even when you are out on a vacation or a touring, you should take your dog with your wherever possible. There are carriers for small dogs as well as airline-approved dog carriers that allow the easy movement of dogs from one location to another.
Let your dog watch you even when you want to have some private time alone with your self. This will assure your puppy that you are there for him. You can have dog steps for this purpose. You can also allow your puppy to watch you through puppy gates or baby doors.
Brush the hair of your dog daily. Give him a shower and make sure that he eats well and has a nice sleep. All these things matter when it comes to building bonding with a dog. Take him to a walk on a daily basis, if possible.
Thus by taking extra care of your dog, you can make sure that your dog starts loving you.
